Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering
or GATE is the admission test for the M-Tech and
M.S. courses of the premiere engineering and technical
institutes in India including Indian Institute
of Technology and Indian Institute of Science.
The test is conducted annually by each of the
seven IITs every year. Generally GATE
is held on the 2 nd February of every year at
different test centers around the country. The
eligibility criteria for appearing in the GATE
are a B.Tech, BE, B. Arch. or M.Sc. degree from

The Graduate Aptitude Test in
Engineering is one of the toughest admission tests
in the country taken by the best students in the
engineering stream. Keeping in mind that majority

questions at the examination are based on the
B.Tech and BE syllabus. Candidates have to write
one paper that is divided into three sections.
